Frequent questions
I changed the temperature, but the receiver did not respond.
Too great a distance between the receiver and the thermostat can lead to poor communication. Also, avoid positioning the thermostat near electrical and electronic equipment to avoid signal interference.
How do I resynchronise the Homplex 909 RF thermostat with its receiver?
Switch off the receiver by pressing the receiver button briefly
Press and hold for 4 seconds until the yellow LED lights up (this indicates entry into sync mode)
Turn off the thermostat by pressing the power (on/off) button briefly. The display should read "OFF".
With the thermostat off, press and hold the "R" button for 4 seconds. The display will show "01" indicating that pairing with the receiver has been successful and the yellow LED on the receiver will confirm this by flashing for a few moments.
Switch on the thermostat (on/off button) and the receiver (short press the receiver button).
Why is the Homplex 909 (wire/RF) not responding to commands?
Check if your thermostat is locked (the "Lock" symbol on the screen will confirm that the thermostat is locked). Unlock the keys as described in the manual.
Why does the Homplex 909 RF screen have difficulty displaying?
If the information is not displayed correctly or the screen malfunctions, press the "RESET" button gently. Otherwise, replace the Homplex 909 RF thermostat batteries with new alkaline ones.
Why doesn't my thermostat display the correct temperature?
Homplex 909 (wired or radio frequency) may display temperature incorrectly if it has been kept in an environment where it can be directly influenced by external factors.
Do not mount the thermostat near passageways, radiators, doors that are always open, exterior walls or windows. Use the setup menu to change the refresh rate of the display information.
The battery symbol flashes on the screen, why?
The batteries are almost depleted. To enjoy your thermostat, replace the batteries with new alkaline ones. Do not use rechargeable or other batteries.
I don't know the PIN, how can I unlock the thermostat?
Remove its batteries for an extended period of time (wait more than an hour). Or use a paperclip to press the "RESET" button.
Add a new password from the settings menu of your thermostat, whichever solution you choose.
"roomERR" appears on the thermostat screen, what do I do?
Homplex 909 (wired or RF) may display this message when experiencing a sensor fault. The reasons for this can be various so we encourage you to contact the Service department or replace the thermostat.
What does the first function in the menu, the "CL" function, do?
The first function in the menu (temperature sensor calibration, CL, default 0) allows you to adjust the temperature displayed/measured by the thermostat. You may, for example, want to synchronize the thermostat with a weather station that is a few degrees off, or the thermostat may not be indicating the temperature correctly. You can adjust the thermostat's display minus or plus 4 degrees. If your thermostat reads 23 degrees and the station reads 24, change the value in this menu to 1 and your thermostat will display 24. From this point on the thermostat's actions (heating on/off) will be related to this altered temperature.
